Although firefox has some great add-ons, I’m not a huge fan, and generally take-up of the browser has been declining since Google’s Chrome came along. Chrome is clean and fast and seems (to me) to handle multi-media better than firefox.
However the beta version of ie 9 is now out see: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Default.html
It looks good, it has taken the good parts of other browsers on board, it supports HTML5, it may be a winner. You can download the beta here and see for yourself.
However as it is a beta, MS have the following advice, only download it if:
•You like to use the latest software and enjoy experimenting with new technology.
•You feel comfortable troubleshooting computer problems yourself.
•You don’t mind updating software frequently.
And wait for the final release if:
•You prefer to install software once, and don’t want to mess with it again.
•You get frustrated if software doesn’t always behave as you expect it to.
Oh, plus you need Vista or 7.
