Very much enjoyed reading the Federal Government Management Advisory Committee report Empowering change
It is another high level call for innovation, public service engagement with new and social media, the sharing of data sets and open government.
In particular, the taskforce sees Government 2.0 as a key means for renewing the public sector; offering new tools for public servants to engage and respond to the community; and empowering the enthusiastic to share ideas and further develop their expertise through networks of knowledge with fellow professionals and others.
There is now a groundswell of senior level policy and direction on this subject, we shall wait with bated breath to see how different agencies whether they be federal, state or local adopt this new paradigm of public service. Some of the results of innovation and engagement hopefully may appear in the Gov 2.0 Showcase here
In case you feel being innovative isn’t worth it, quoted in the above report here is a little list to help you

If you are still interested in this subject, might I suggest this Gov 2.0 Google Group for its discussions
